The Simpsons: Tapped Out Network issues
March 14th Update: It may seem that there is no official update since March 8th about the network issues for The Simpsons: Tapped Out but today we started experiencing a strong connection problem playing Tapped Out on an Origin Account. It is advised that if you have not yet connected your Springfield town with an Origin account that you do not do so until they fix this issue or you will be running into “Can’t Connect to server. Try again later.” errors. We experienced this first hand with one of the players where they were playing absolutely fine on a non-Origin account. Once they decided to create an Origin account, that’s where the problems start. We’ll keep you updated.
March 8th Update: It seems the creators of the Simpsons: Tapped Out has made further adjustments that will help with the connection issues that players are encountering. They are asking for your input to help improve the quality of Tapped Out, simply use this link to fill out their survey form if you are still having connection issues and they will surely try to fix any problems you may encounter in your Springfield park. Remember that the creators of Tapped Out are still in the process of making your experience better by adjusting and fixing bugs. Remember to fill out that tapped out survey form if you are experiencing problems!

It’s very clear to us that more improvements will be required to deliver the quality entertainment experience that we all expect. So your input is invaluable as we continue to fix the game. Many thanks for your patience and feedback!”
March 7th update: It seems that after days of connection issues, that the lag has been fixed. We certainly aren’t experiencing the cut off at the beginning anymore, so we don’t have to wait a minute for it to reconnect. If you have not read, after the release of the Simpsons: Tapped Out, it flew up onto the charts with thousands of players within a single day making it one of the most hit apps in iTunes. It was later pulled on the beginning of the month in March due to outages people were experiencing. People were hitting the “Reconnecting” screen making Tapped Out players wait 60 seconds before they can log back into their account.
As we know it, there shouldn’t be any further problems since the night of March 6th because when we logged into our accounts none of us got the reconnecting message anymore. To further improve the Simpsons: Tapped Out EA has decided to continue test for any other problems. It is also noted that a few of the players may experience problems with their city that has been built. Some may experience days late issues for bonuses if they have been logging in daily, they are still fixing up the odds and ends so don’t worry too much.
“Update – periodic outages: We’re continuing to make fixes to the game that will result in outages for certain periods of time, starting tonight [US Pacific Time].
Meanwhile, we’ve made connection and lag time fixes and hopefully you’re experiencing these improvements. We also understand some of you are having problems with your Springfield when you come back to the game. We’re working on that also. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience!”
March 4th Update: This is from the official facebook fan page about the network issues that are being encountered by players. Currently the app has been removed from iTunes due to the problems of network issues and that it is hope to go back up once you this has been fixed. “To make sure you current players have the best possible experience, we’ve temporarily removed The Simpsons: Tapped Out from the App Store. Yes, as a current player you can keep playing — and things should only get better as we make improvements to connectivity. Once we have a solution, we’ll return the game to the App Store so new players can join in the fun. Meanwhile, thank you for your patience and support.”
If you have been playing the simpsons tapped out, you will noticed that this weekend has been a bit of a problem. Did you hit the connection issue where it says retrying to connect in 60 seconds? Well you are not the only one. Know that there has been many players reporting this unfortunate event. So you are not alone, and there certainly isn’t a problem with your account or anyone else account.
It’s not really a big deal though, once you try to reconnect you often reconnects. We assume there are some problems with the server due to it’s current success making this app one of the top apps in the appstore at the moment.
If you are continuing to run into this network issue then it’s time to try a few tricks to help you get it started up again. The first one that is recommended by players is rather a simple one, you simply turn off your device and make sure it is completely off then you restart the device and the application and see if it works. If it doesn’t the second recommendation is to double tap your home key to bring up your processes then find the Simpsons tapped out icon. Once you find The Simpsons Tapped Out icon, simply tap and hold it on the screen until there is a tiny X button. Press this X button and you will exit the program.
If all else from the above does not work then it’s time for your last solution. Delete the program off your device and make sure you keep all details then shut off your device. Once your device is off, turn it back on then sync it with iTunes then install the application onto your device as if it was new. Once you have done this it should open correctly.
